Autumn weather conditions bring chrome bright Deschutes River Steelhead from the Columbia River to the Lower Deschutes River that relentlessly seeks the cooler temperatures of a tail water river that the Deschutes River provides. The arrival of “Old Man Winter” brings hungry trout to the surface in search of micro-proteins to carry them through.
