Well, well, well, it looks like as if winter is knocking right on our front door. It is easy to say that we are going through some transitional phases as weather and seasons change. This means that the fisheries are going through a similar change. The water temps on Crane Prairie have been all over the place, going from high temps to low temps, and back to moderate temps. This is the time we like to call the lake a transitional phase. Going from the summer fishery, into a fall/winter.
However, this does not mean fish cannot be caught. This is a good time to focus your efforts on fishing leeches, buggers, etc in the channels. Fish will eat, just not as much. Hopefully, the transition goes quick so the fish can turn on that fall feeding frenzy!
