Crane Prairie Update June 24, 2022

Crane Prairie is improving and should continue to improve as summer moves along. The beginning of this season was slow for essentially everyone we spoke to. As of late we have been hearing more positive reports and that is great news. Balanced leeches and chironomids have been producing fish with olive/green patterns being hot. Callibaetis are around on some days and we have heard a few people getting fish on dries. Callibaetis will become more important as summer moves along. Damsel nymphs and water boatmen are also a good idea as we move through summer. We were waiting and waiting to see when Crane would start to pick up and it appears that is the case now and we are very excited.
