Fishing has been great at East Lake; however, access is tricky due to low water, which is the theme at most lakes and reservoirs for the season. Be careful while launching your boat. Indicator rigs are very productive. Our choice of flies would be balanced leeches, chironomids, midges and buggy lake nymph patterns. Stripping streamers and leeches can be effective, sinking lines help a lot. It’ll still be awhile until the callibaetis hatch picks up. In the meantime, try using terrestrials or chubbies for your dry flies. We’ve been selling out of cubbies fast, swing by and get ‘em while they’re here.
