Fishing at East Lake is good. Off color water is the only reason the fishing isn’t astounding. We’re not sure why the water is off color, but it seems to be clearing up slowly. In the meantime, balanced leeches are highly recommended. Big leeches are easy for fish to see, sometimes they help draw attention to your smaller flies. The up and down temperatures got damsel hatches going and then put them down. The nymphs will still be around but leeches may be a better bet until the heat comes back. Callibaetis and chironomids are both doing well, size 14 - 18 will do well. Stripping leeches and streamers around the shallows and the banks is productive, I would fish something fairly dark. Callibaetis have been seen hatching once or twice and terrestrials have been doing really well near the banks. Layer up before you head out so you can properly enjoy the cool rainy weather. Hopefully we continue to receive this moisture, it can really help to dampen the intensity of fires.
