Fall River Update

Fall River Update

There are lots of fish hanging around in the Fall right now, with plenty of opportunity to throw nymphs, dries, and streamers to good size Rainbows. Nymphing typically produces fish most consistently, with small Mayfly and Midge patterns being the go to options. As always, fishing underneath a dry or light indicator is key to avoid spooking fish in the clear, slow moving waters of the Fall. Keep an eye out for rising fish throughout the day. Mayfly attractors, BWO, and PMD patterns have been fooling fish that are looking towards the surface. Fishing a small streamer or leech pattern close to cut banks and log jams can bring out the aggressive side of some of the larger fish the ODFW has been putting in, there are options to fish your preferred method on most days!

Suggested Dries: Parachute Adams #16-20, Purple Haze #16-20, BWO Sparkle Dun #18-20, Flying Black Ant #14-16, Peacock Chubby Chernobyl #14-16, Black Stimulator #14-16

Suggested Nymphs: Olive or Brown Micro Mayfly #18-20, Olive Anato-May #18-20, Copper Microstone #18, Black Winkers Midge #18-22, Black or Purple Zebra Midge #18-22, Biot Midge #18-22, Black or Olive Tailwater Tiny #18-22
