Crane Prairie Reservoir is now open and fishing well out of the gate. Leeches and size 16 green midges fished under indicators have been productive. South Century Drive offers access to the boat ramp, though limited snow coverage persists in some parking areas. Other roads, including Road 40 and routes to Rock Creek and Quinn River, remain snow-covered and impassable for now.
Wickiup Reservoir also opened and is sitting at over 80% capacity — the highest it’s been in years. Anglers should expect improved early-season conditions and a promising start to the spring stillwater bite.
