Owner Scott spent some days up on East last week and gave us an excellent report. Callibaetis and damsels were both hatching strong and had fish looking up. Lots of activity around the weed beds but some picky fish. Most action came away from the weed beds with small midges, two-bits, and tailwater tinies fished under an indicator in 10-12 feet of water. Large fish cruising the shallows during morning and evening hours. Stripping larger brown or gold baitfish patterns to imitate tui chubs is a good way to target larger class brown trout in east lake. Wickiup has been fishing fair, not hearing too many reports in the shop as of late. Davis is fishing fair on streamers for bass and trout. Both Twin Lakes have been fishing well on leeches and chironomids. Hosmer is fishing fair on leeches and chironomids as well with a few reports of good callibaetis hatches coming in.
