Lakes Update August 5, 2022

East and Paulina lake continue to fish well on balanced leeches, chironomids, callibaetis and damsels. Using a Beetle, ant, or chubby pattern rather than an indicator is a good idea. Stripping small buggers or baitfish patterns has also been producing some fish. There are no boat ramps going in at East this year so if you have a larger boat, Paulina will probably be a better bet for launching. The same sort of things have been working on Paulina as well. Three Creeks Lake has been good, stripping small streamers and suspending flies like balanced leeches and chironomids under an indicator has been working well. We have heard decent reports from Hosmer on callibaetis, damsels, and chironomids.  We have been hearing some good reports coming out of lava on leeches/chironomids as well. It’s cooled down a bit this week which should have the lakes in good shape so get out there and find some fish!
