East and Paulina Lake have both been fishing well. Leeches, two-bits, dark and light assassins, eggs and chironomids all picked up fish in 8-15’ of water. Stripping larger brown or gold baitfish patterns to imitate tui chubs is a good way to target larger class brown trout in these lakes. Wickiup has picked up a bit and we got some good reports on leeches and chironomids as well as some fish coming up for chubby chernobyls. Davis is fishing fair on streamers for bass and trout. Both Twin Lakes have been fishing well on leeches and chironomids. Hosmer is fishing fair on leeches, chironomids and damsels. Better to hit hosmer early AM or last few hours of the day as it is a very popular sightseeing lake.. Heard a couple decent reports from lava in the shop this week on leeches and two-bits. Callibaetis and damsels will start to become more and more prevalent over the coming weeks at most of these locations so stocking up on a good selection of nymphs and dries is a good idea.
