Lakes Update June 6th, 2025

Hosmer Lake
Early Callibaetis activity has started, with peak hatches expected over the next month. Productive flies include Damsel Nymphs, Scuds, and Red Ice Cream Cones. Balanced Leeches and Soft Hackles under an indicator continue to perform, especially in the lower lake.

Crane Prairie
The Cultus Channel has produced consistent results. Chironomids and Balanced Leeches continue to catch fish. Damsel activity is increasing and could peak soon. Don't forget to grab pumpkin and olive balanced leeches on your way out there.

East Lake
Scuds and Callibaetis nymphs are effective in shallow water. Chironomid patterns (Black/Red, Olive) are best around 10 feet of depth. Dry fly activity is increasing with Ants, Beetles, and Purple Hazes. Callibaetis hatches are expected to begin shortly.

Paulina Lake
The lake is fishing well, with healthy post-winter trout. Callibaetis jigs, Red Ice Cream Cones, Scuds and Balanced Leeches are all producing. Dry fly action on Ants, Beetles, and Flying Ants is increasing.
