Late Fall On The Crooked

Late Fall On The Crooked

The Crooked is holding steady around 50 cfs and has continued to fish well. There is opportunity to fish dries during an early afternoon BWO hatch on most days, look for dry fly opportunities to improve with the weather we’ve got moving into the area. Overcast days can mean great BWO hatches so long as it isn’t too wet or windy. Nymphing has been very productive, we are seeing the most success on Midge and Egg patterns, but BWO nymphs and other small Mayfly patterns are producing as well. Whitefish have started to Spawn and we are seeing some larger than average fish feeding consistently on eggs, the spawn always seems to bring some of the larger fish in the area out of the woodwork.
