The Metolius has been fishing well. A variety of caddis and some PMD’s make for fun dry fly action on some days and are worth having in your box. Golden stones will also be around some parts of the river and are worth having in your box. These can also serve as nice top flies for a dry-dropper setup. Nymphing remains hot and using some tungsten nymphs with a bit of weight to get them down will be to your advantage. Euro and indicator methods have both been producing fish. Swinging, stripping, or dead drifting large streamers is a good way to try and fool a bull trout.
