The Metolius has been fishing well. PMD’s, BWOs, and a variety of caddis will be on the menu for trout and should all be kept on hand in both nymph/larvae and adults stages. For nymhping its tough to beat an october caddis or goldens stone trailed by a smaller caddis or mayfly imitation. Bull trout are in the river from the reservoir and can be caught using large streamers or larger nymphs like goldens stones, october caddis, balanced leeches/baitfish etc. Dont forget that the waters above Allingham Bridge close Oct 31st so we only have about 11 days left to fish the headwaters until next year.
