Our hook shanks come in 32, 51 and 75mm (1, 2 and 3 inch) and are specifically designed for trailing-hook style flies. The 32 mm size is perfect for string leeches, while the 51 mm, designed for standard-sized intruders, will suit the needs of the majority of steelhead tiers. If you are looking to tie truly magnum flies (think king salmon), try our 75 mm shank, which can also be cut down to whatever size you need. All of our shanks come with pre- rounded off ends to protect your trailing hook material as well as your tippet.
