East Lake Update

East Lake Update

East has continued to fish well, with good numbers of Callibaetis providing excellent opportunity to fish dries. Mornings have been slower, and fishing small nymphs and Chironomids under an indicator is our preferred method until we see decent numbers of Callibaetis, typically around noon. Once the Callibaetis start to show themselves fish have been quick to key in on the emergers and adults. The hatch should provide consistent dry fly action throughout the afternoon on most days. If there seems to be a lull in the action, fishing an ant or beetle pattern should bring fish to the surface. Look for East to continue to fish well with consistent Callibaetis for the foreseeable future.
