Fall River – June 27, 2025

Fall River is fishing well following recent ODFW stocking (June 16–20), and anglers are reporting strong dry-fly opportunities throughout the day. PMDs and Olive Caddis remain the dominant hatches, with consistent surface activity especially near shade and structure. Ants, beetles, and smaller Chubby-style terrestrials are also producing during calm periods. Nymphing continues to deliver in deeper runs with patterns like Eggs, Zebra Midges, 2 Bit Hookers, Scuds, and Micro Mayflies. Keep floaters on standby for stripping a small olive streamer in low-light—this approach has tempted some larger trout. With cooler early mornings and highs in the upper 70s and into the 80's, fishing windows are expanding. Expect trout and occasional whitefish throughout the accessible sections of the river. Public access remains good from the hatchery downstream; a few private sections exist but open water is plentiful.
