As of March 25th, Fly and Field Outfitters has decided to temporarily close our doors to Walk-In traffic. Please know that this is a difficult decision, but we feel it is the responsible thing to do. In the end, there’s just no way to maintain a 100% sterile environment here with customers coming and going. We will miss, beyond description, all the awesome people we’re accustomed to greeting on a daily basis. We are deeply apologetic for any inconvenience and hope this doesn’t keep you from getting some fresh air. Please read on for explanations as to how we intend on servicing our cherished customers both in and out of our area.
As for the Guide Service, we will not be running any trips until April 15th at the earliest. We will still be booking trips for the spring and summer, waiving our 30-Day Cancellation policy. For trips that are already booked for spring and summer, we will process refunds if folks have already committed to cancel their visit. Otherwise, we are all in a bit of “wait and see” mode, obviously hoping that the dust will have settled…
We are currently offering some new methods through which to acquire all your fly-fishing needs, whether you live in Central Oregon or points beyond. For our local clients, we are offering “Curb-Side Pick-Up”. This program involves us putting together a cup or fly box full of flies, any leader, and tippet, floatant, bobbers, split shot, etc., whatever you’ll need to fish any of our local (or out-of-town) fisheries. The shop will be staffed from 8 am-2 pm, Tuesday through Saturday to field your phone call, go through where and when you’ll be fishing, put your kit together and take care of payment. Check our recent Fishing Reports for the most up-to-date tips on what’s working. This will help expedite placing and processing your order. Your kit will be waiting for you to pick up. Just call the shop when you’re out front and we’ll bring it to your car. Sorry, no fries and milkshake with that… If you have a reel to spool up, a new rod you can’t live without, or a pair of waders you’re ready to get, we can take care of your entire purchase while you wait in the lot. Give the shop a call ahead of time and we will take care of everything. And whether in Bend or not, you can always order anything you need on the Online Fly Fishing Shop we have on our website. Everything in our inventory -other than flies- is always available. There is a “Pick-Up at the Shop” option when selecting delivery for our local customers. All other online orders we will service business as usual.
