LAKE REPORT - 9/18/26
The Cascade Lakes continue to settle into their fall pattern as cooler nights bring water temperatures down. Crane Prairie is back in the rotation with multiple reports of good fishing, while Paulina continues to be one of the more consistent options. East should continue to benefit from the cooler September weather, although low water is making boat access increasingly difficult.
Callibaetis remain worth watching for as we move through September, with afternoon activity still providing opportunities depending on the day. Chironomids remain an important part of the mix, while ants, beetles, and other terrestrials are still worth having available around the shoals and shoreline.
Subsurface fishing remains steady with chironomids, Callibaetis nymphs, balanced leeches, scuds, and smaller attractor nymphs & STREAMERS all worth having in the rotation.
