Fishing on Crane has been Good this past week the damsels are all done but dragonfly nymphs and leeches have been working well. We have been catching fish mostly with indicator rigs as usual, suspend a midge and balanced leech under your indicator as close to the bottom as you can. Stripping traditional leeches is working to, I like to cast into the trees and slow strip them back to the boat with an intermediate line on a longer leader. Fluorocarbon is necessary when still water fishing, starting with 4x and dropping to 5x if the fish are being picky. Fish were concentrated in the Quinn channel but seem to have spread out over the last week. East has slowed down and Wickiup is almost too low for big boats so Crane is seeing a lot of pressure at the moment.
