Crane Prairie Update - 5/6/22

The initial reports we are hearing from Crane are pretty slow. Most people are getting into a fish or two but struggling to find numbers up there. The lake is pretty full and the fish are spread out. With that being said, cover water and once you find a fish or two put some time into fishing that area. A few shop guys were up there last Saturday and got a few on olive balanced leeches. Balanced leeches in different colors are a good idea, as well as chironomids, blood worms, and midge nymphs. The resort and Quinn launch are open but I have not heard if the ramps are in yet. The west side is still closed for tree removal. Crane will improve as the Spring moves along and we are looking forward to hearing more reports from people that get out there!

Recommended Nymphs: Bruised Ballanced Leech #14, Two Bit Hooker #20, Zebra Midge #18-20, Super Sinker #16-18, bead wing midge #18-20, Red Pheasant Tail #14-18, Rainbow Warrior #18-20, Red Ice Cream Cone #12-16
