Crooked River Fishing Report 4/16/21

Conditions on the Crooked are looking great. The water levels are stabilizing and the fish will be finding where they want to hold. Look for fish in any likely holding locations, not just the deep holes. The blue winged olive hatch in the afternoon continues to be super productive. Nymphing with midges, small mayfly nymphs and caddis imitations will be productive; however, you may need to weed through some whitefish before you find the redsides. Get out there and enjoy the Crooked River Canyon while it’s “lush”, spring won’t last forever.
