Crooked River Update September 2, 2022

The Crooked River has been fishing well. Nymphing remains the most consistent method throughout the day and a variety of caddis and mayfly patterns will get the job done. We also like scuds a lot on Crooked and tan, green, and orange will all be effective. As far as dry flies go keep an eye out for caddis and mayfly activity and have a decent selection of caddis patterns in your box. Swinging soft hackles and small streamers is also a fun and effective method on the crooked. The crooked canyon is a beautiful place to spend a day so get out there and get after some fish.
