Early season on East Lake can be a blast. Big fish are coming into the shallows to get their grub on before heading deep. A few guides have been out there and have had some great success. Fish tend to be on the move searching for food after the winter months. There a plenty of opportunities to get into some nice Browns and Rainbows. Fishing Size 14-16 Pheasant Tails, Size 18 Chironomids patterns under an indicator will produce fish. As well as stripping leech patterns in olive and black. Play around with your stripping speed to find out what the fish are keying into for that day. As the weather warms up the fishing should only get better.
Suggested flies: #8-10 Black/Olive wooly bugger, #14-16 Red pheasant tail. #16-18 Dark Assassin, #18-20 Chironomids
