FALL REPORT - 10/30/26

The Fall River continues to be a consistent option heading into November, with consistent spring-fed conditions and good fishing throughout the open sections. Recent reports have been particularly encouraging, with larger stocked rainbows providing some good opportunities.

BWOs are becoming the primary focus, with good hatches reported during the cooler parts of the day. Midges remain important, while the larger amber caddis are providing some additional fall opportunities. Small dries and emergers continue to be good options, particularly when fish become selective during active hatches.

Subsurface fishing remains productive with Perdigons, BWO nymphs, small attractor patterns, eggs, and midges all worth having in the rotation. Balanced leeches and small jig streamers have been particularly effective, offering good alternatives when surface activity slows. Fall River below Fall River Falls remains closed to angling through May 21, 2027, while the river above the falls remains open year-round.
