FALL REPORT - 11/6/26
The Fall River continues to offer solid fishing as we move into November. Consistent spring-fed flows and cooler fall weather are keeping conditions favorable, with good opportunities throughout the open sections. The hatchery remains a popular destination, but exploring the campground, headwaters, and less pressured stretches can be a good way to find fish holding around deeper slots, weed edges, and submerged structure.
BWOs continue to provide good dry-fly opportunities, particularly during the afternoon. Midges are becoming increasingly important, while smaller amber caddis remain part of the mix. Smaller dries and emergers are worth having available, especially when fish become selective during active hatches. Recent reports suggest some particularly good surface fishing when conditions line up.
Subsurface fishing remains productive with Perdigons, BWO nymphs, Two Bit Hookers, Zebra Midges, scuds, and smaller attractor patterns all worth having in the rotation. Egg patterns, mop flies, and small jig streamers continue to be good options around deeper slots and structure. Fall River below Fall River Falls remains closed to angling through May 21, 2027, while the river above the falls remains open year-round.
