FALL REPORT - 9/11/26
The Fall River continues to be a great option as we settle into September. Its cold spring-fed water are keeping conditions consistent. Spreading out and working deeper slots, weed edges, and submerged structure can provide good fishing away from the busiest water.
The hatch mix should continue to broaden with the changing weather. PMDs remain part of the mix, while BWOs and midges should become increasingly important on cooler and cloudier days. Small olive and tan caddis remain worth having available, with ants and beetles still good options while warmer afternoons hang around.
Subsurface fishing remains steady with small Perdigons, mayfly nymphs, midges, scuds, and smaller stonefly patterns all worth having in the rotation. Small leeches and streamers continue to be good options through deeper slots and around structure, while lighter presentations remain important in the clearer, slower sections of the river.
