Fall River Report 8/20/21

The Fall River has been fishing well. Expect the hatches to pop off a bit earlier than last week. The cooler weather will likely make mayflies more prominent than caddis. Pale morning duns will be the main hatch, there may be some good blue wing olive emergences as well. If nothing is actively hatching throw around some terrestrials with a small mayfly dropper. Nymphing is more consistent than dry flies. The usual small mayfly patterns and midges do very well on the Fall. Jigged euro nymphs are also a really excellent option. Streamers are always good to use on the Fall, especially when nothing else seems to be working. This colder than average weather can make for some really productive fishing days.
