Fall River Update - 5/20/22

The Fall river is fishing well. With the recent stockings there are lots of fish in the river right now, so don’t be afraid to spread out and check out some spots you haven’t fished before. Nymphing remains the best method in terms of numbers but keep your eye out for fish rising. Caddis will be ramping up out there and fishing dries on the Fall is a blast. A dry-dropper setup with an ant, beetle, or other small terrestrial and a small nymph underneath is also a great Springtime tactic. If you are strictly nymphing, try using a heavier top nymph (perdigon etc) with a smaller one beneath it. This will help your small flies get down into the strike zone quickly.
