Lake Report - 10/2/26
The Cascade Lakes are moving further into their fall pattern, with changing weather bringing different opportunities across the higher-elevation lakes. Low water and changing fall weather remain important considerations, particularly when launching larger boats.
Beetles and ants are providing good topwater opportunities around shorelines and shoals.
Subsurface fishing continues to be productive with balanced leeches, chironomids, scuds, and smaller attractor patterns all worth having in the rotation. Smaller leeches and chironomids have been the better options at Crane Prairie, while East has been producing in approximately 10–12 feet of water. Paulina continues to offer opportunities around deeper ledges and weed beds, with balanced leeches and chironomids remaining productive.
