Crane Prairie has kicked off with steady fishing. Leeches and chironomids, particularly green size 16s, are doing well under indicators. The East side ramp is accessible; Rock Creek and Quinn remain snowed in.
North and South Twin Lakes are both worth a visit. Indicator rigs with balanced leeches, damsels, and chironomids are the go-to. Stripping or trolling leeches and Callibaetis nymphs can also be effective.
Haystack is producing nicely. Fish are taking olive chironomids and tequila blobs in moderate depths, with water temps in the mid-50s.
Wickiup has plenty of water and full access, but we’ve had no current reports yet.
Lava, Little Lava, and Hosmer remain frozen over. Expect 3 Creeks Lake to follow its usual early summer thaw around mid-June.
