Lakes Update - East and Paulina lake continue to fish well on balanced leeches, chironomids, callibaetis and damsels. Using a Beetle, ant, or chubby pattern rather than an indicator is a good idea. Callibaetis dries have also been effective during hatch times. Callibaetis are on the tail end and won’t be around too much longer. Stripping small buggers or baitfish patterns has also been producing some fish. There are docks in at the resort and people have been launching large boats. The same sort of things have been working on Paulina as well. Three Creeks Lake has been good, stripping small streamers and suspending flies like balanced leeches and chironomids under an indicator has been working well. Callibaetis as well at three creeks. Hosmer is currently inaccessible due to the Cedar Creek Fire Forest Closures. The Cedar Creek Fire is currently affecting accessibility to some of the cascade lakes highway. Check on the fire status below and plan accordingly.
