The Lower Deschutes continues to fish well. Caddis remain a prominent food source and nymphs and dries should be kept on hand. Aside from caddis, jigged leeches, pheasant tails, jigged prince nymphs, and spanish bullets were all hot flies last week. PMDs are on the menu many mornings and PEDs in the afternoons and evenings. Swinging around sculpin, leeches and crayfish is another fun way to get some grabs. Dry-dropper setups fished in close to the banks are also fun and you never know when you'll find an opportunistic trout looking up for a big meal.
