The Lower Deschutes is coming into shape nicely. Its running at 4330 at the Madras gauge this morning and clarity has improved a lot. It should be game on for the big bugs. Dry-dropper setups are a great method to utilize to target the fish feeding on the surface as well as the ones feeding below who haven’t keyed on the big bugs yet. Fishing in close to the banks and underneath overhanging bushes and trees will help you find fish keyed on the surface.
