Lower Deschutes Update September 23, 2022

The Lower Deschutes has been fishing well. Nymphing has been the most effective method and getting your flies down deep can be very beneficial. We like using tungsten nymphs to make sure were getting down quick. Flashback PT’s, Copper John’s, Prince Nymphs and Perdigons are some of our favorites. Swinging leeches, sculpin and crayfish streamers can be a fun and effective way to target some more aggressive fish. Steelhead are around and can be caught swinging flies or on larger nymphs. Please keep wild fish in the water and release them quickly. Fall fishing on the Lower can be really fun so get out there and have a good time!
