METOLIUS REPORT - 6/26/26

Per usual, the Metolius continues to fish well with excellent water clarity and stable flows. Insect activity has continued to improve, with PMDs becoming more prominent while Green Drakes continue to provide excellent opportunities during the afternoon.

Nymphing remains the most productive day-to-day approach. Golden Stonefly nymphs, PMD nymphs, Perdigons, Zebra Midges, Frenchies, and Hare's Ears continue to produce consistent action.

Anglers targeting bull trout are stripping larger streamers through deeper pools and structure. Long leaders, light tippet, and careful presentations remain key.

As water conditions remain stable and insect activity continues to build, Green Drakes, PMDs, and evening caddis should provide increasingly consistent dry fly opportunities over the coming weeks.
