The Metolius River has been fishing well. It is wise to be prepared for dry fly activity and have a decent selection of stoneflies, golden stones, BWO’s, PMD’s and caddis. Nymphing during non hatch times has been good. We like an october caddis or golden stone as the top nymph and a smaller 16-18 caddis or mayfly imitation on the bottom. Swinging large streamers is a good way to try and go after some bulls. The Met is an awesome place to spend a fall day so get out there and get after some fish.
