Wickiup Season Opener Update

As with the other lakes, fishing on Wickiup is less consistent this early in the year and should improve in the coming weeks. For now, it is best to fish late mornings and afternoons, fish will feed more actively as the water warms throughout the day. Chironomids under an indicator should be a good strategy, try red and black chirono cones, yankee buzzers, and ice cream cones in sizes 14-18. Wooly buggers and leech patterns are good options for covering water quickly and searching for fish.
