Upper Deschutes Closing Update

It is that time of year! We are rolling into some of our first seasonal closures, with others not far behind. The Upper Deschutes closes on September 30th. The area closure includes Benham Falls upstream to Little Lave Lake. This also includes the Sheeps Bridge area of Wickiup. Fishing on the Upper D has been decent. Most folks are focusing their efforts on Sheeps Bridge so other sections of the Upper are a bit more vacant. Most folks fishing at Sheeps are fishing under an indicator with san juan worms, egg patterns, midges, and chironmids. If you can find the time to make to this area, you are certainly going to have an opportunity to tango with a nice trout or two.
