Fall River Update

Fall River Update

The Fall has been fishing very well for those able to find the areas of concentrated fish, which certainly has some relation to the ODFW stocking schedule. Do a little hiking to find fish, and don’t leave them to find more until the action slows down. Attractor nymphs have been producing good numbers of fish, and an occasional fish will rise to a well presented PMD pattern, stimulator, or terrestrial. Now is also a great time to throw small streamers and leech patterns on the Fall, with many of the fish being stocked showing some very aggressive behavior towards stripped flies. Although it may not always seem like it, there are fish spread through the system pretty consistently this time of year. Don’t become discouraged should the river seem to lack numbers, the fish are around and those who put in some time will find them.
