East and Paulina lake continue to fish well. Stripping small buggers or baitfish patterns has been producing some fish. The Brown trout are moving into shallower water in anticipation of spawning. Suspending nymphs and leeches under an indicator is also effective. There are docks in at the
East Lake resort and people have been launching large boats. The same sort of things have been working on Paulina as well. Hosmer is open and is fishing fair on balanced leeches, ice cream cones, damsels etc.
The Cedar Creek Fire is currently affecting accessibility to some of the cascade lakes highway. Check on the fire status below and plan accordingly.
